GREAT PERFORMANCE BY VAN BUT THE VENUE NEEDS UPDATING

Van played about 20 or so songs and was a pretty good performer. No encore but a nice finale. Anyway I wanted to advise that the sound system and video system need some work. I sensed a fair amount of distortion in the midrange right where Van's vocals resided and also where his saxophone resided. At least the bass was not horribly over-boosted and distorted as it was with the warm up group. Now for the video jumbo monitors, I have found that they are too low in resolution and too low in brightness making them difficult to watch. One even failed towards the end of the show.
